I am a bit excited about getting to the VFF dinner, what can I say a beautiful meal that showcased the fantastic Victorian produce to a T or should that be a P!!

I was happy that I could be there representing Spargo Creek Truffles and proud that we got some truffle onto the menu. I can say that the boys in the kitchen were a tad excited about the arrival of their truffle, I do not think that they were that excited to see me in my gumboots but the bag of truffles was another story. I washed them up and then left them to it. Summer had had a big day of harvesting and was waiting in the car so I was in and out pretty quick. With 650 people for dinner you would have to say it was a huge success. The matching wine and locally brewed beer were the perfect additions to the meal and Pip Courtney was the perfect MC even if she gave us the rounds of the table about Tasmanian produce. A brilliant night congratulations to the VFF and the RAS on presenting the heart of Victorian dinner.
