BOOKING YOUR HARVEST:
It is that time of the year when you need to be thinking about booking your harvest or just getting us to check your Truffiere if you have not produced any Truffles. We advise those people that have not found any Truffles to get their Truffiere checked at least once in June or early July and if nothing is found, then checked again in August.

Our Truffiere
Aussie Truffle Dogs has established a 600 tree Truffiere containing both Perigord Black Truffles (Tuber Melanosporum) and Burgundy or Summer Truffles ( Tuber Aestivum).
The Perigord Black Truffle is harvested during the winter from Late May or June to August or early September dependent on the season, while the Summer Truffle is harvested from December through to February.
While we are breeding puppies specifically for the Truffle industry, we felt that it was important to establish our own Truffiere with the both types of Truffles to ensure we had several months in which to train and work our dogs on the real deal.
We are more than happy to conduct tours around the truffiere and put you in touch with the experts should you wish to plant your own trees. Our ultimate goal is to have you visit, work the dogs, collect your dinner and have some renown local Chef's put together a gourmet meal with other local produce and fine wines from the Daylesford Macedon Region.
